Aniimo Evolutions: The Three Stages and What Is Not Yet Known

Aniimo's evolution system has three confirmed growth stages — Lumin, Gamma and Nova — and most Aniimo can evolve through them. That is the full extent of what Pawprint Studio has officially published. How any single species moves from one stage to the next has not been detailed, so this page gives you the confirmed framework and flags everything else as unknown.

The three stages, in order

The Official Aniimo Index names the stages plainly:

There is no fourth stage in official material. Anything describing a "mega" or post-Nova form is fan invention.

What is NOT confirmed about evolution

This is the part most guides get wrong. The following have not been published by Pawprint Studio:

1. Per-species evolution conditions — no levels, items, friendship values or trade requirements.
2. Branching evolution — the Index confirms a linear three-stage path; multi-branch routes discussed in the beta are unconfirmed.
3. The elemental type chart — matchup multipliers have not been released, so we do not publish them.
4. Whether evolution is required for progression — no statement either way.

Forms, rarity and variants — separate systems

Evolution is only one axis of a creature's identity. Official beta and index documentation also names these, and they are easy to confuse with evolution:

• Form — a region- or variant-specific version of a creature, e.g. Mountain Woods Form Pawney. A form is not the same as an evolution stage.
• Sparkling — a rarity tier. The beta confirmed Sparkling Aniimo were fully eligible for Bond Pact sealing.
• Alpha — a creature variant. Also fully eligible for sealing in the beta.
• Acquired Potential — an aptitude rating. The official FAQ confirms it does not restrict hatching a sealed Bond Pact egg.
• Prismana Form — a rare form category, excluded from beta sealing and offered as a pre-registration reward.

These layers mean two creatures at the same evolution stage can differ sharply in form, rarity and aptitude. Team building is richer than a simple stage count suggests.

Why this matters for collecting

Because evolution conditions are unpublished, your collecting strategy should not assume a clean path to Nova for every species. The safer play:

1. Catch across forms, not just stages. A region form you skip may be the one you need later.
2. Use the creature index to track which species you have at which stage, because the game will not tell you the route.
3. Do not trust third-party evolution charts. They are guesses until Pawprint Studio publishes per-species data.
4. Watch pre-registration rewards — the Prismana Form pick is a guaranteed rare form, independent of evolution.
