Aniimo on Steam: Release Date, Features and Wishlist Info

Aniimo releases on Steam as a free-to-play title with Steam Achievements and Family Sharing. The global launch is September 16, 2026 — although the Steam page itself displays Sep 15, 2026, which trips up a lot of people.

That one-day difference is a timezone conversion, not a separate Steam release. Steam renders its release date field in the viewer's local timezone, while Pawprint Studio's official announcement states September 16 without conversion. Treat September 16 as the date.

The official Steam feature list

Steam publishes a features block for every game, and Aniimo's is unusually informative:

• Family Sharing

That list settles several questions at once. Aniimo is playable alone, has both competitive and cooperative online modes, supports cross-platform play, and is free with an in-game store.

What Steam tells us that other stores do not

Because the Steam page is the most detailed official listing, it is the best source for several facts:

• Language support: 13 interface and subtitle languages, with full audio in English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The other nine are subtitles and interface only.
• System requirements: the only published hardware numbers for the game. See PC requirements.
• Content descriptors: in-game purchases, in-game chat and online interactivity. The chat and interactivity flags matter if you are managing a child's account.
• A third-party EULA: Steam notes that Aniimo requires agreement to a third-party end-user licence agreement.

Monetisation, as far as it is published

Steam flags In-App Purchases and nothing more. There is no store catalogue, no battle pass, no banner list and no currency pack pricing in any official material.

Steam Deck and handhelds

Steam Deck compatibility has not been officially rated for Aniimo. The Steam page does not carry a Deck Verified, Playable or Unsupported rating as of August 31, 2026.

The hardware picture is not encouraging for the minimum tier either: an i7-9700 and a GTX 1060 as the floor, with 12 GB of RAM, is above what a Deck provides natively, and the game expects a broadband connection. Treat handheld performance as unknown until Valve or Pawprint Studio publishes a rating.

Preloading on Steam

No preload has been announced. The store page does not currently offer a pre-download, and Pawprint Studio has not stated when or whether one will open.

What you can do now is wishlist or follow the game so Steam notifies you both when preloading opens and when the game unlocks.

Why wishlist rather than pre-order

There is no pre-order for Aniimo, so the wishlist is the only pre-launch action Steam offers — and it is the useful one. Wishlisting gives you an unlock notification, and it costs nothing.

Pair it with pre-registration on the official site, which is where the actual launch rewards come from: Glimmer ×200, Aniipod Ultra ×2, the "Companion Promise" avatar frame and the "Sunlit Meadow" outfit, all already unlocked by 30 million sign-ups.
